After FINALLY fixing my MacBook I have been able to access my photos and tell you all about my honeymoon last September to New York!
After our mini-moon to Wensleydale we drove back to Cambridge to pack before flying out of Heathrow on September 11th – I know, this didn’t pass without notice – to JFK with British Airways. We stayed at the Waldorf Astoria on Park Avenue and it was just beautiful. We dined in the Peacock Alley Restaurant for our last night and had cocktails, which was lovely but the most expensive meal I’ve ever paid for!
As this was the first time the other half had spent longer than a few hours in New York, we spent several days visiting tourist spots: Rockefeller Centre; Top of the Rock; Times Square; Broadway; Empire State Building; Circle Line Tour around the island; Natural History Museum; Central Park; Grand Central Station; Statue of Liberty; 911 Memorial Museum – not to mention the shops! Fifth Avenue, Tiffanys, Apple Store, Ralph Lauren and the less famous – Lego Store, Nintendo World, Disney store and Toys “R” Us, because – well, I’m a child at heart! I also fell into a habit of picking up Chocolate covered strawberries from Godiva on Fifth Avenue whilst making my way around.
We were only there for a week but managed to fit a lot in and I’m already desperate to return!
These are just a small selection of the photos (I know I really take my camera everywhere with me) and I loved New York so much, desperately trying to plan when I can next go back – my 25th birthday being an ideal time!
