Easter is one of my favourite times of year – all the pastel spring colours I love become acceptable to wear, the weather starts to brighten and we have a weekend full of eating hot cross buns and chocolate eggs. What more could you ask for?!
So I spent Easter Sunday baking Creme Egg Brownies I’ve seen posted all over the internet – not particularly original but a good way to use up all those creme eggs! I used this recipe and even if I do say so myself, they turned out pretty good!
Look how gooey they look! I was also lucky enough to get a MASSIVE Queen of Eggs from the other half designed to taste like Eton Mess – What’s not to love! I was also given a Marks and Spencer chocolate Spiketail the Dinosaur from friends we had over Friday/Saturday for a Die Hard marathon. Perfect for someone with a Jurassic Park obsession.
When I lived at home we used to go to Ticknell for Easter weekend, where my parents owned a house for when my dad worked away from home. Every Easter Sunday while people around the country settled down for their Sunday roast, we would venture to a local curry house. I loved this and missed it when I moved out and was unable to join them due to having a new life almost 200 miles away. So this Easter I was invited out for a curry to celebrate a friend’s birthday and I was more excited about this than when I got my end of year bonus.
How did you spend your Easter?
